All employers with access to the Internet should submit their W-2s electronically. If you have 100 or more W-2s and/or 1099s, you are required to submit them electronically. To electronically submit your W-2s, use the e-File Minnesota system or the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) system. For more information on submitting W-2s/1099s electronically, see Fact Sheet 2 and Fact Sheet 2a. Minnesota no longer accepts W-2s on diskette or CD-ROM. However, we will continue to accept Forms 1099 on CD-ROM and diskette. No, there is no transmittal form that needs to be sent with them. Mail the W-2s/1099s by themselves in your own envelope to the address above.
