Click on a question below to view the answer. If you don't find the answer you need here, check our withholding tax fact sheets or contact us.

Where/How do I send my W-2s/1099s?
All employers with access to the Internet should submit their W-2s electronically. If you have 100 or more W-2s and/or 1099s, you are required to submit them electronically. To electronically submit your W-2s, use the e-File Minnesota system or the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) system. For more information on submitting W-2s/1099s electronically, see Fact Sheet 2 and Fact Sheet 2a.

Minnesota no longer accepts W-2s on diskette or CD-ROM. However, we will continue to accept Forms 1099 on CD-ROM and diskette. Please mail 1099 CD-ROMs and diskettes to the address below

If you are not required to submit your W-2s electronically, mail them to:
Minnesota Department of Revenue
Mail Station 1173
St. Paul, MN 55146-1173
