Market Value Exclusion on Homesteads of Disabled Veterans

This program, enacted in 2008, provides a market value exclusion for property tax purposes for the homestead property of an honorably discharged veteran who has a service-connected disability rating of 70 percent or higher, as determined by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

Applications to the County Assessor
The Department of Revenue has developed the following applications for the market value exclusion. Applications are due by July 1 to your county assessor’s office. Please read instructions before completing.
